• Develop an ensemble ML mode GBEM-VIS to improve atmospheric VIS numerical prediction. • GBEM-VIS obviously improves the low VIS numerical prediction for 10/5/3 km levels. • Low VIS improvement varies with the relative contribution by aerosols and humidity. • Extreme low VIS improvement is the most distinguished under high humidity conditions.
