Abstract

• A compact magnetostrictive–hydraulic isolator is proposed for low-frequency microvibration isolation. • A hydraulic damping orifice is treated as an explicit design variable for resonance shaping. • A reduced nonlinear electromechanical–hydraulic model is established for the MDHAI. • The optimized device delivers about 10-fold stroke amplification over the standalone GMA. • Harmonic and random tests verify markedly improved payload-side vibration isolation.
