Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are energy conversion devices that produce electricity and heat directly from a fuel such as natural gas. An electrical interaction model was developed to simulate the electrical stack behaviour. At the stack's level, we don't model precisely the physical phenomena that take place at the microscopic scale but we instead average them over all the thickness of the PEN and we highlight the phenomena that occur at the macroscopic scale. At this scale, the phenomena of interest are the electrical behavior of the stack. So the model consists of solving the charge transport equation in three dimensions. In order to avoid interfacial issues with the non ohmic voltage drop that occurs in the PENs, a special source term is added in the transport equation. A numerical investigation of cell voltages variation is performed by considering the impact of material properties. Numerical results show the effects on stack voltage change due to a single cell with anomalous behaviour.
