Greater body weight and body mass index (BMI) are associated with worse clinical outcomes in knee osteoarthritis, but these anthropometric measures do not assess fat mass. We evaluated sex-specific relationships between total and visceral adiposity and clinical outcomes in knee osteoarthritis.
