• An efficient analytical model for stress-induced capacity fade is developed. • Stress change rate is coupled with side reaction kinetics via modified Arrhenius law. • Mechanism of stress-induced non-linear capacity fade is revealed. • Millisecond-level solving is achieved with prediction errors under 4% for three samples. • Dynamic charging optimization under random conditions demonstrates the model validity.
