Abstract

Efficient numerical simulation of large-scale elastic problems with complex multi-domain interfaces presents significant challenges due to the limitations of conventional preconditioners in the Fast Multipole Boundary Element Method (FMMBEM). In traditional leaf-based preconditioners, coefficient matrices of leaf cells typically involve only nodes within each subdomain, neglecting the coupling of interface nodes shared with neighboring subdomains. This oversight can lead to non-invertible matrices for interface leaf cells, restricting the applicability of FMMBEM to multi-domain elasticity problems.
