• Blossom End Rot (BER) is a physiological disorder associated with localized calcium deficiency in the fruit tissues. • Conventional Calcium Fertilization has limited effects. • Calcium-based nanoparticles (CaNPs) are promising approach for mitigating BER. • Cellulose-chelated Ca nanomaterials proved to be the most effective approach.
