Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• 26Al/27Al corroborates and improves 10Be/9Be-derived ages of deep-sea sediments <3 Ma. • 26Al and 10Be concentration-, and 26Al/10Be-derived ages are altered by composition. • A correction of the composition alteration is not recommended for 26Al. • 26Al-based dating becomes unreliable with age due to nucleogenic 26Al production. • A correction of the nucleogenic 26Al production is possible but not recommended.
