To characterize mean daily distance traveled and number of use days among Permobil power wheelchair (PWC) users across regions and models and to compare the relative contribution of region versus model in predicting mean daily distance traveled. De-identified connected-device data collected in 2023 from PWCs in Australia, Canada, Europe, and the United States were analyzed across five models. Differences in mean daily distance traveled and number of use days were assessed using nonparametric tests. Relative contribution of region and model to the mean daily distance traveled was evaluated using a Gamma generalized linear model with a log link; nested model comparisons and Bonferroni-adjusted estimated marginal means were used. A total of 5,144 devices were analyzed after excluding inactive devices. Mean daily distance traveled significantly differed by region and model. Europe had a significantly higher mean daily distance traveled but significantly lower number of use days than the US. Higher-performance platforms (F5/M5 Corpus) traveled significantly farther than lower-tier platforms (F3/M3 Corpus). Both region and model were significant predictors, with region contributing more. Connected-device data showed substantial regional and model-related differences in PWC mobility. These findings are associational rather than causal but may inform wheelchair selection, service delivery, and policy decisions.
