Abstract

This paper describes a configurable secure transceiver architecture based on networking algorithms which support rapid v deployable radio communications infrastructure. The architecture revolves around hand held device applications requiring low power mid area efficient secure communication. We consider a networking environment for real-time multimedia traffic in which the users are mobile, topology changes, interference occurs when multiple transmissions take place over links, there is no stable communication infrastructure, and there is no central control. The design of Wireless Mobile Network involves real challenges like dynamically changing topologies/routes, limited communication bandwidth, short battery lifetime, variable capacity links, security and broadcast nature of the communication system. The scenarios that motivate this research include applications requiring instant network mid multimedia infrastructure. These include military, applications (special operations, battlefield scenarios, etc.), disaster relief (fire, earthquake, flood), law enforcement situations, short-term scenarios such as public events, etc.
