• Novel S-scheme heterojunction Bi2MoO6/Fe2O3@RM is firstly prepared. • RM serves as both the support and intrinsic Fe2O3 source for the composite. • The Bi2MoO6/Fe2O3@RM + PDS + Vis system achieves 91.2% LVF removal within 60 min. • SO4−, OH, O2− and h+ play key roles in the degradation of LVF. • Bi2MoO6/Fe2O3@RM shows good reusability and structural stability.
