Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Effects of processing parameters on surface morphologies, cross-sectional microstructures, and molten pool behavior of the nitrided layers were systematically examined. • A desirable balance between surface quality and nitrided layer thickness was achieved. • The hardness of the processed surface reached 15 GPa, significantly higher than that of the MG substrate (6.1 GPa). • The processed surface exhibited a lower COF and depth of wear track than those of the as-cast MG surface. • The processed surface displayed a positive shift in Ecorr, an approximately 28.3% reduction in Icorr.
