• Examined tourmalines have a metamorphic origin and were formed during Variscan regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism from the Karkonosze granite intrusion. • The main factors of evolution tourmaline-supergroup to Ca members are decreasing pressure and presence of Ca and F-enriched fluids. • The shift in Boron isotopic composition is related to B released from the internal part of primary tourmaline by leaching and mixed with an external source, enriched in 10B. • Ca-group tourmalines are sensitive indicators of low-pressure, medium-to-high-temperature metamorphic processes.
