Abstract

• First use of [89Zr]Zr-ANG to assess 72 h progression of ozone and LPS induced acute oxidative stress. • Uptake of [89Zr]Zr-ANG is specific to endothelial cell and platelet ATP synthase subunit β (ATPβ). • Higher [89Zr]Zr-ANG uptake observed in oxidatively stressed aorta and platelets; potential implications in platelet budding and ATP signaling. • Supports the use of [89Zr]Zr-ANG in chronic oxidative stress induced animal disease models.
