This paper aims to suggest a digital code-modulated MIMO system suitable for underwater localization and navigation application based on MAP (maximum a posteriori probability) algorithm. A MIMO system becomes a digital code modulated system when the intended input signal being analog by nature is converted into zeros and ones and then signal coded using a digital code modulation scheme, for instance, say, QPSK (quadrature phase shift keying), followed by transmitting those modulated signals via multiple transmitting antennas to the intended system equipped with multiple receiving antennas as well. The system suggested is applied for underwater routing applications, wherein MAP-based machine learning algorithm is used to localize and navigate the underwater system. MAP algorithm is a machine learning algorithm based on calculating the conditional probability for a given set of observational data corresponding to a system weighted along with a prior probability or belief value attached to the system model given.
