Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• High-strain-rate compression of AZ31 and VW75 magnesium alloys investigated using SHPB. • VW75 exhibits higher energy absorption and superior dynamic failure resistance than AZ31. • Quasi-in-situ EBSD illustrates the deformation mechanism of VW75 alloy under dynamic compression. • VW75 exhibits slip-dominated and twinning-assisted deformation improving local strain compatibility. • Theoretical adiabatic shear susceptibility calculation is confirmed by dynamic shear experiments.
