Abstract

• We studied 180 patients with ulnar neuropathy at the wrist (UNW); 16.7% were unclassifiable using Wu’s five-type classification. • We identified two new electrodiagnostic types: 6 affects hypothenar muscles and 7 interossei, both with sensory involvement. • Refining the classification system of UNW, may explain unexpected sensory or motor deficits in the ulnar nerve distribution.
