Energy-Efficient Dynamic Workflow Scheduling in Cloud Environments Using Deep Learning

云环境下的动态工作流调度是一项具有挑战性的任务,这主要源于任务依赖性、负载波动、资源变异性以及需要在调度时间跨度(makespan)和能耗之间进行平衡的需求。本研究提出了一种新颖的调度框架,该框架将图神经网络(GNNs)与深度强化学习(DRL)相结合,并采用近端策略优化(PPO)算法实现多目标优化,重点关注最小化调度时间跨度和降低能耗。通过利用GNNs对工作流中的任务依赖关系进行建模,该框架能够实现自适应且信息化的资源分配。代理(agent)在一个基于CloudSim的仿真环境中,使用合成数据集进行了评估。在基准数据集上的实验结果证明了所提出框架的有效性,与传统启发式方法相比,其在调度时间跨度和能耗方面均实现了持续改进。在中等规模数据集中,该框架实现的调度时间跨度为689.22 s,优于次优方法的800.72 s,与HEFT、Min-Min和Max-Min等基线方法相比,调度时间跨度显著降低了最高达13.92%,同时保持了10,964.45 J的竞争力能耗。这些发现表明,将GNNs与DRL相结合在云环境下的动态任务调度中具有潜力,能够有效平衡多个目标。
