Explicit machine learning-based MPC for distributed control of nonlinear processes

本研究开发了一种基于机器学习的显式模型预测控制方法(explicit ML-MPC),用于化学过程的实时动态控制。传统ML-MPC在Aspen Plus Dynamics中对化学过程进行动态控制时,通常面临计算效率的挑战。尽管显式ML-MPC通过将隐式ML-MPC的机器学习优化问题转化为混合整数二次规划(MIQP)来减少计算时间,但其计算复杂度随着复杂化学过程网络的决策空间维度快速增加。为克服此限制,在显式ML-MPC框架内引入了一种分布式控制策略,利用多进程进行并行计算,以进一步提升显式ML-MPC的实时性能。同时开发了一种基于k-d树的搜索算法,用于高效构建实时MIQP问题。整个控制框架被开发为开源、可通用的代码库,允许用户在Aspen Plus Dynamics中轻松设计、实现和定制实时ML-MPC控制器,这有望显著加速先进控制策略在化工行业的应用。最后,通过在Aspen Plus Dynamics中对化学过程网络进行闭环控制,验证了所提出方法的有效性,并显示出计算效率的显著提升。
