• This study focuses on a high-efficiency dual-loss FeCoNiAlTi@ZnO core-shell absorber. • First-principles calculations indicate d-p orbital hybridization at the interface, supporting the heterostructure design. • RCS simulations visually compare and verify the EM wave dissipation of coatings with varied morphologies. • All coatings with different morphologies achieve a broad effective absorption bandwidth within 8.2-12.4 GHz.
