• Alignment of geographic access to screening facilities and geospatial lung cancer risk factors remains a public health opportunity for study. • Geographic access to lung cancer screening facilities is greater in areas with greater environmental risks from PM2.5 and radon gas. • The observed geographic overlap between areas with higher levels of environmental risks and greater access to lung cancer screening facilities raises important questions about the adequacy of current screening guidelines that do not consider non-smoking-related risk factors in identifying individuals for screening. • Future research should explore the feasibility and potential benefits of incorporating environmental risk factors into lung cancer screening programs.
