This special section focuses on the state-of-the-art technologies on parallel and distributed computing techniques for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL). AI, ML, and DL can enable computers the ability to learn from a large amount of data and use the learned model to optimize a complex problem or discover rules in a complicated system. AI, ML and DL can be applied to push forward the boundaries for many domains and significantly influence our daily life.
