Abstract

• Motion blur is a source of uncertainty in DIC displacement field measurements. • A new method to compensate for motion blur effects on DIC algorithm is proposed. • Exposure time enables blur estimation at the subset level for non-uniform cases. • Within DIC iterative algorithm both blur and displacement are refined together. • Tests show reduced uncertainty and improved DIC convergence in case of blur.
