• A nanozyme was synthesized and found to possess asymmetrical Co-O-Bi interfaces. • The Co-O-Bi interfaces achieved a 3.6-fold increase in peroxidase-like activity. • Pesticides exhibited noncompetitive/uncompetitive inhibition on nanozyme activity. • A single-receptor-single-reaction-unit multichannel sensor array was constructed. • The sensor enabled 100% discrimination of five pesticides in complex matrices.
