摘要

OFDM: one of the well-known multicarrier modulations (MCM), has been recently chosen, by the standardization bodies, to be the Down-link waveform for the 5G systems. OFDM, like all other MCM techniques, suffers from high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Indeed, the time domain signal has a very great dynamic. This high PAPR is problematic, when non linear power amplifiers (PA) are used at high energy efficient level. In order to relax this problem, we propose in this letter a new method called Iterative Dichotomy PAPR reduction (IDP). The main idea of this proposed algorithm is to decompose the original signal into $M$ signals with lower PAPR using (IDP) algorithm and amplify them by amplifiers with much lower saturation power. When $M = 2$ The theoretical analysis and the simulations results, presented in this letter, show a gain of $2.2 similar to{dB}$ in terms of PAPR.
