• Intrinsic kinetics of normal paraffins dehydrogenation (C10-C13) was studied. • A ball core industrial NDC-10 catalyst (Pt-Sn-K-Mg/Al2O3) was investigated. • Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were assessed by advanced optimization methods. • The thermodynamic consistency of the kinetic model results was confirmed. • A good agreement between experimental data and kinetic model results was observed.
