Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
The fungus-growing termite Odontotermes formosanus is a significant pest of hydraulic infrastructure, driving the need for targeted and environmentally sound control strategies. The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana is a promising biocontrol candidate against O. formosanus, but its efficacy in bait formulations can be reduced by termite repellence behavior induced by fungal volatiles. This study explored the potential of the plant-derived volatile longifolene to counteract this repellence or avoidance and enhance bait performance.
