Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Intercropping with maize increased land productivity and yields relative to sole crops. • Overall, the land equivalent ratio (LER) across crops and regions was 1.45. • Non-legumes intercropped with maize exhibited similar LERs to legumes, but research on non-legume intercrops is lacking. • Pigeon pea has the greatest potential as a maize intercrop with an average LER of 1.78.
