Abstract

• Reconstructing quadratic polynomial dry/wet edge equations for the LST–NDVI feature space across different climatic zones. • Integrating TVDI with a 7-day cumulative precipitation threshold successfully distinguished irrigation-induced wetting signals. • The proposed framework achieved reliable long-term irrigation mapping at the basin scale based on the GEE cloud platform. • Spatiotemporal dynamics of irrigated areas exhibited obvious heterogeneity driven by climate, topography, and policies.
