• We conducted a meta-analysis on the relationship between media violence exposure and cyberbullying perpetration • Results showed a direct positive significant relationship between media violence exposure and cyberbullying perpetration • Aggression-related knowledge structures mediated the direct relationship between media violence exposure and cyberbullying perpetration • Neither participant age, level of cultural independence, nor method of media violence assessment moderated the relationship between media violence exposure and cyberbullying perpetration.
