Abstract
En 中文
• Water pollution damages natural ecosystems and puts at jeopardy ecosystem services value (ESV). • Ecosystem service value decreases with pollution. • ESV loss increases directly with pollution intensity (severity) and the number of pressures overlapping at the same spot. • Results for a Natura 2000 area (PT) show that high-risk water pollution can lead to a loss of around 13% of regional ESV.
