Abstract
En 中文
This article introduces a metaverse framework designed for simulation, emulation, and interaction with wireless systems. The framework integrates extended reality (XR), digital twins (DTs), artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT), blockchain, and advanced 5G/6G networking solutions to create a platform for both system development and management. Using XR, users can interact with complex systems, while DTs enable real-time monitoring and optimization. AI improves system performance, and IoT devices provide real-time sensor data to increase simulation accuracy. In addition, blockchain ensures secure, decentralized interactions, and wireless networks offer the infrastructure for uninterrupted communication. This framework serves as a tool for exploring, developing, and optimizing wireless systems, with the aim of offering a significant understanding into the future of networked environments. The framework achieves sub-10 ms decision-to-action latency through integrated operation of all six layers, demonstrated via a UAV positioning use case that delivers <1 ms URLLC connectivity, sub-10 ms AI inference, 12 ms ray-tracing updates, and 3-6 s blockchain finality with audit trails, while the RL-optimized positioning policy significantly improves network coverage for disadvantaged users.
