• The design of the MnCl2 laser with high-frequency capacitive-discharge excitation mode is designed. • The maxim PRF is achieved 80 kHz. • The small signal gain is 0.23 cm−1. • The main operating parameters are similar with the MnCl2 laser with the typical (internal) electrodes.
