Polarity is an important parameter for characterization of materials. Currently, there have different theories and methods corresponding to different Lewis acid-base scales, in relation to taking the polarity parameters to present as the single, e.g. Et (30) defined by Reichardt, the twin, e.g. the AN and DN defined by Gutmann, and the three, e.g. the alpha, beta and pi* defined by Kamlet and Taft, respectively. In history, some researchers have performed some works on correlation of them to benefit the prediction of the unknown from the known polarity parameters. In this work, some new intercorrelations among were furthermore deduced and evaluated together with the comparison of literature reported relationships. Based on these evaluations, the old and new relationships were corrected, and the AN and DN now can be predicted easily for applying to liquids and solids.
