• Multifunctional GO–BT/WPC composites exhibit photocatalytic and piezocatalytic activity. • 2.0 vol% GO achieved the highest piezocatalytic degradation efficiency (71.6%). • 0.5 vol% GO exhibited the highest photocatalytic degradation efficiency (41.6%). • The composites demonstrated good structural stability and reusability after catalysis.
