Fitchiella robertsonii is a small, typically flightless planthopper described by Asa Fitch in 1856. It is currently known from 17 states and one Canadian province, where it is typically associated with dry native grasslands and open woodlands and is considered a species of conservation concern. The insect’s distribution, known habitat associations, potential foodplants, and conservation status are discussed, along with recommendations for future research. A map of known F. robertsonii records is provided, along with a table of state and county-level records and a photo of Fitch’s type specimen.
