The Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner theory is used to investigate the kinetics of decomposition of a supersaturated solid solution in the case that the interface between the nuclei of a new phase and the matrix is quasi-coherent. The size distribution is shown to be within a very narrow range of relative sizes (r(g)/r(c) = 6/5), and the critical and the average sizes of a nucleus varies as t(1/6).
