• Fifteen PFASs were widely detected in groundwater from a chemical industrial park. • PFBS dominated the groundwater PFAS profile in both upper and lower aquifers. • Short−/medium-chain PFASs accounted for more than 92% of total PFASs. • Groundwater PFAS contamination showed strong spatial heterogeneity with a hotspot at XJ6. • PFAS-related ecological risks in the adjacent river increased from upstream to downstream.
