This paper introduces a quantisation approach to design a predefined-time controller for a nonlinear system. Contemplating a non-uniform static bounded quantizer like a hysteresis quantizer, the input signal is quantised for the sake of reducing the communication burden. Here, the system trajectories of the plant converge within an arbitrarily small neighbourhood of the origin irrespective of parameter change and a wide range of initial conditions for the user's predefined time. In addition to that, the stabilisation error is steered by the utilisation of backstepping control with a time-varying tuning function. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm can guarantee global stability for the closed-loop system. Simulation results for two examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
