Abstract

• Feasibility is an underused component of conservation prioritisation frameworks. • We built a spatiotemporal feasibility layer for the Great Barrier Reef using a Random Forest Model. • We can now predict whether a reef can be safely SCUBA dived with 92% precision. • Reef feasibility varies strongly by location, shelf position, and time of the year. • Data-driven feasibility layers can replace expert judgements in reef prioritisation.
