Abstract

A pseudorandom timing generator for stochastic modulation of the stimulation frequency for the measurement of visually evoked cortical potentials is described. The frequency of the generator is varied at random with an adjustable depth of modulation. The random variations are controlled by a pseudorandom binary sequence generator for 63, 127 or 255 states. The instrument built with CMOS integrated circuits is battery powered.
