• Pyenspp integrates preprocessing, calibration, and verification for ensemble forecasts. • A novel KAN-CSGD model is proposed for calibrating ensemble precipitation. • KAN-CSGD shows higher reliability and lower bias than raw or QM forecast. • The open-source package supports catchment-scale hydrological applications.
