Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Sm-doped SrCl0.4Br1.6 was synthesized to develop a high-performance red–NIR-emitting scintillator. • SrCl0.4Br1.6:Sm exhibited intense red–NIR emission originating from the 5d–4f transitions of Sm2+. • A high LY of 47,000 photons/MeV was achieved for SrCl0.4Br1.6 containing 0.1 mol% Sm. • The scintillation decay times of SrCl0.4Br1.6:Sm were shorter than those of SrCl2:Sm2+ and SrBr2:Sm2+. • The mixed-anion strategy effectively enhances both LY and decay performance, enabling the development of a higher-performance red–NIR-emitting scintillator.
