Abstract
En 中文
• The experimental basis of the solution–diffusion (SD) model is critically reviewed. • The apparent experimental evidence is attributed to membrane compaction under viscous flow. • Pore-flow-with-compaction model describes the observed water content gradients. • Pore-flow-with-compaction model describes the limiting solvent fluxes. • Connectivity, not static geometry, defines a pore in polymer membranes.
