Abstract
En 中文
• Icephobicity of the plane and micro-pillared highly hydrophobic surfaces is compared. • Micro-pillared surface has 26.6% less frost coverage and 12–27 times freezing time at low RH. • Droplet impingement dynamics are categorized into four states based on surface covering. • A theoretical model for droplet freezing time is established, agreeing well with experiment.
