• Silicon nanoparticles (Si NPs) significantly reduced soil-available Cd by 38.7%–80.4% • Si NPs were more effective under low Cd contamination in improving soil nutrient status. • Si NPs restored positive interactions and cohesion within bacterial co-occurrence networks. • Increasing Si NPs doses alleviated Cd-induced disruption of bacterial metabolic functions.
