本封信函涉及基于粒子群优化（PSO）算法对雪堆折射率的估计。通过利用其处理多维优化问题的能力，PSO被用于计算合成孔径雷达层析成像系统天线与成像雪堆散射体之间的最短路径，同时考虑其介电常数，并优化雪堆层析图与使用相同系统配置和测量参数模拟的层析图之间的深度坐标差值。所提出的方法应用于两个测量的层析图，即那些数据是在法国阿尔卑斯山测量活动中获取的层析图。
