In this study, a novel nanocomposite containing palladium complex, CdFe2O4@TPI/TEG-Pd, was synthesized and comprehensively characterized by various methods including FT-IR, XRD, EDX, TGA, FESEM, VSM, and ICP. This catalyst showed very high performance in the one-step synthesis reaction of dicyanoaniline derivatives under mild conditions (reflux conditions and ethanol solvent) and was able to produce products in yields of 91-98% and in short times of 15-60 min. The outstanding features of this method include short reaction time, high efficiency, environmental efficiency, easy magnetic separation, and the ability to recycle up to five consecutive cycles without a noticeable decrease in catalytic activity. The main innovation of this study is the combination of the dual design of the TPI/TEG ligand with the magnetic CdFe2O4 nanoparticle, which resulted in high thermal stability and effective homogenization of the palladium active centers in the reaction medium.
