Abstract

• Zwitterionic boron-rich BODIPY conjugates with cobalt bis(dicarbollide) for BNCT. • Conjugates with BODIPY are non-toxic against both cancerous and non-malignant cells. • Fluorescent conjugate binds to bovine serum albumin. • Derivative is successfully uptake in A2780 cell line at the good 10B concentration. • CLSM image of A2780 cells shows distributed perinuclear accumulation of conjugate.
