• A compact bistable triboelectric vibration energy harvester is proposed. • The CBTEH combines flexible beams and magnets to achieve bistable mechanism. • The CBTEH minimizes mechanical connections within a small footprint. • The CBTEH generates 0.50 mW of power at 12 Hz and 60 MΩ.
